Slate splits
along its own bed.
That is the whole character of the material: cleaved rather than sawn, so every piece carries a face the quarry gave it. Seven slates, supplied as riven or calibrated tiles, ledger strips for wall cladding, and mesh-backed panels for fast site work.
Seven slates,
no two pieces identical.
Shade range is part of the product, not a defect. If a job needs a tight range we will pull the batch from one bed and say so on the quotation; if it wants movement, Kund and Copper give you plenty.
Where slate goes
What buyers are usually building when they order a container of it.
Slate is dense and low-absorption, so it holds up outdoors better than sandstone — but it cleaves, which rules it out for carved memorial work. For headstones, granite.
