Headstones cut
to your shape sheet.
Uprights, slants, bevels and flat markers in memorial-grade granite — supplied to monument dealers and workshops by the container. Shape, polish specification and lettering are all set on the drawing before anything is cut.
Twelve shapes,
cut to your sizes.
These are the shapes that move. Send your own template and we cut to that instead — the shape is a drawing, not a catalogue number.
Serpentine topThe wave-topped upright, the most ordered shape of all
Oval topHalf-round head, soft and traditional
Flat topSquare head and shoulders, the plainest upright
Gothic topPointed arch head for church and classical settings
HeartHeart profile, usually polished all round
BookOpen-book form, one face for each name
TeardropTapered top with rounded shoulders
Cross headstoneCross cut as the headstone itself
Slant markerWedge profile, reads standing without a full upright
Bevel markerLow pillow marker with a sloped face
Flat markerGround-level plate, laid flush with the turf
Ledger stoneFull-length slab covering the grave
Four profiles,
set by the cemetery.
Most cemeteries allow only one or two of these. Check the rule sheet first — it decides the shape before the family ever sees a design.
Which faces
get polished.
The single biggest price line on a headstone after the stone itself, and the one most enquiries leave blank. Dark faces are polished; grey faces are sawn or pitched.
If your market uses P-numbers, send the number and we will work to it — the trade codes differ between countries, so we confirm in plain words on the drawing either way.
Eight steps,
one signed drawing.
Blank stock ships faster because it skips the lettering steps — tell us at enquiry which you want and the lead time changes accordingly.

Stone first,
then everything else.
Contrast decides whether the lettering still reads in twenty years, which is why the blacks and greys carry most of this trade.
