Markets — Middle East

Project stone,
held on one block run.

Steps, columns, courtyard paving, landscaping and grave markers for contractors and stone fabricators across the Gulf. Quantities here are measured in containers rather than pieces, so the work is in reserving blocks, holding shade across phases and shipping to the site programme.

Five lines,
one supply chain.

Most projects take two or three of these together — steps with paving and landscaping, or columns and courtyard work on the same sheet.

What the Gulf
does to stone.

Four things decide whether a specification survives here, and none of them show on a sample tile viewed indoors.

Heat underfootGo lighterA dark polished terrace is unusable barefoot by mid-morning. Pale stone and a textured finish stay far cooler.
Sun on colourGranite holdsGranite keeps its colour for decades in this light. Some softer stones and resin-treated slabs do not.
Salt airLow absorptionCoastal sites pull salt into porous stone and it crystallises inside. Dense granite with low absorption is the safe choice.
Sand & windTexture wearsBlown sand polishes and scours a surface over time. Flamed and bush-hammered faces age evenly; polish does not.

If a courtyard, terrace or pool surround is in the scope, ask us before the finish is approved. A dark polished stone that looks right on a drawing can be unusable barefoot by ten in the morning, and that is not a problem anyone can fix after installation.

Eight steps,
built around your programme.

The block reservation is the step that matters. Once a project's stone is held on one run, phase three still matches phase one.

Sample boardsFull-size samples and A4 boards for the architect, with the block number recorded — so the approved sample is the stone that ships.
Block reservationThe project's requirement held on one run before cutting starts, including the phases not yet released.
FixingsDowel holes, anchor pockets and jointing detail cut to the drawing, not improvised on site.
TestingWater absorption, density, flexural and abrasion reports from an independent laboratory, per consignment.
Phased shipmentCrated by zone, courtyard or villa and released to your programme, so the site is not storing stone it cannot lay yet.
InspectionThird-party inspection welcome at the works; otherwise measured photographs of each crate before loading.

Send the BOQ
and the programme.
